Hard Chrome
We operate a conventional hard chrome solution.
Hard Chrome is deposited on new or worn components and is very hard and wear resistant. The deposit is plated onto undersized worn components to make up for the wear and is usually finish ground to size.
Typical components onto which we deposit Hard Chrome onto are:
• Piston rods from switchgear equipment
• Mould and die surfaces
• Worn or mis-machined components
• Aluminium aircraft flight control components
We can successfully deposit a hard chrome surface onto most metallic substances typically deposit thicknesses are in the range 0.0005-2.5 mm and providing the base material surface is good the chromium surface is pore free.
